ریچارد کلایدرمن بعنوان یک نوازنده حرفه ای پیانو توانست بهمقام و شهرتی دست پیدا کند که کمتر هنرمند موسیقی فرانسوی تا کنون به این درجهرسیده است. او طی سالها نوازندگی پیانو، تهیه آلبوم های زیبا و اجرای کنسرت از خودیک چهره بین المللی بر جای گذاشته است. وی در طول فعالیت حرفه ای خود بیش از 800آلبوم موسیقی تهیه کرده است که در این میان 63 عدد از آنها بعنوان آلبوم پلاتینیومو 263 عدد بعنوان آلبوم طلایی شناخته شده است، آمار فروش آلبوم های او نزدیک به نودمیلیون نسخه ثبت شده تخمین زده می شود. .



در 28 دسامبر سال 1953 متولد و در کودکی با پیانو آشنا شد. پدر او که یک معلم پیانو بود از همان کودکی وی را با مقدمات پیانو آشنا کرد و بعدها نقش یک تکیه گاه برای فراگیری موسیقی را بازی کرد. ریچارد در سن شش سالگی توانایی کامل و ماهرانه خواندن موسیقی از روی نت را داشت و در این میان از سایر فرانسوی های هم سن و سال خود به مراتب برتر بود.

او در سن دوازده سالگی وارد کنسرواتوار موسیقی شد و در شانزده سالگی اولین جایزه نوازندگی پیانو را از کنسرواتوار موسیقی پاریس دریافت کرد. منتقدین موسیقی در ابتدا پیش بینی می کردند که در آینده او یک نوازنده تمام عیار موسیقی کلاسیک شود که با تکنیک نوازندگی خود باعث حیرت مردم شود اما او هرگز این مسیر را برای ادامه فعالیت هنری خود انتخاب نکرد. در این ارتباط می گوید :



"من می خواستم کار جدیدی انجام دهم. بنابراین با چند نفر از دوستانم یک گروه موسیقی pop/rock راه اندازی کردیم. کار سختی بود چون پول نداشتیم و تعداد زیادی گروه مشابه وجود داشت. درواقع می توانم بگویم که شاید این بدترین روشی بود که می تونستم احساسات درونم را متبلور کنم."

در دورانی که وی کار موسیقی خود را شروع کرد، پدرش بیمار بود وتوانایی حمایت مالی از او را نداشت. بنابراین ریچارد تصمیم گرفت که برای بدست آوردندرآمد بعنوان یک همراهی کننده پیانو در برنامه های مختلف موسیقی، مشغول فعالیت شود. او می گوید : "من از این کار لذت می بردم و در عین حال درآمد خوبی هم داشت. در واقع شاید به اینصورت بود که من از موسیقی کلاسیک مجبور شدم کنار بکشم. هرچند فعالیت و تمرینهای من در این سبک از موسیقی پشتوانه بسیار خوبی برای کارهای آتی من بود.

بنا به درخواست چند نفر از دوستان بزودی طی چند مطلب، اقدام به بررسی فعالیت های هنری Richard Clyderman، نحوه گرایش او به موسیقی، سبک خاصی که دنبال می کند و ... خواهیم داشت. قبل از شروع این مباحث مناسب دیدیم تا راجع به دو تن از همکاران کلایدرمن یعنی Paul de Senneville و Olivier Toussaint صحبت کنیم. قبل از آن به این قطعه زیبا ساخته پاول سنویل که توسط کلایدرمن اجرا شده توجه کنید، قطعه دارای Vocal نیز می باشد و نت آن را می توانید در قسمت pdf & music (You can see links before reply) داشته باشید. بله Paul de Sennevile آهنگساز اصلی بسیاری از کارهای ریچارد کلایدرمن می باشد. او قبل از آشنایی با کلایدرمن همکار Olivier Toussaint بود که استودیو و شرکت ضبط و تکثیر آلبوم های موسیقی بنام Delphine در فرانسه را داشت. پاول و اولیویر در سال 1968 شروع به کار مشترک موسیقی کردند و باوجود آنکه الیویر بیشتر کارهای استودیویی می کرد در ساخت آهنگ همواره کمک پاول بود چرا که مادر الیویر یک نوازنده توانای پیانو بود و خواه نا خواه الیویر می بایست در طول زندگی با موسیقی آشنا شده باشد. خیلی زود کارهای مشترک آنها مورد توجه تمامی خواننده های بزرگ فرانسه قرار گرفت افرادی چون Michel Polnareff, Mireille Matthieu, Mireille Matthieu و ...

پس از آن این دو شروع به اجرای کنسرت های پاپ و راک کردند، که در آن الیور نقش خواننده را بازی میکرد. در مدت 5 سال میلیونها نسخه از کارهای این دو هنرمند در سراسر جهان به فروش رفت و هنوز صحبتی از ریچارد کلایدرمن نبود.

Olivier Toussaint

حدود سالهای 1976 بود که کمپانی Delphine با بیش از 30 کارمند برای الیور و پاول فعالیت های هنری میکرد. الیور ذاتا" مدیر بود و این دو دوست بتدریج تشخیص دادند که دیگر مصلحت نیست که الیور نقش خواننده را در تیم بازی کند. تصمیم گرفتند که ادامه کار را با یک ساز سولو دنبال کنند و چه چیز زیباتر از صدای مراورید گونه یک پیانو. در آن ایام پاول بالاد زیبایی بنام Adeline نوشته بود، این بود که برای شروع تصمیم گرفتند که پیانیستی برای اجرای آن انتخاب کنند.


ریچارد کلایدرمن جوان 23 ساله در میان 20 نوازنده دیگر پیانو توانست با اجرای زیبا و لطیف این بالاد توجه پاول و الیویر را بخود جلب کند و این آغازی بود برای سالها همکاری هنری. پاول در مصاحبه های بعدی راجع به انتخاب کلایدرمن گفت : "من از نوازندگی او لذت بردم، تماس انگشتان او با کلاویه های پیانو بسیار خاص و لطیف بود و طرز نوازندگی او – جدای از صدای ساز – اثر بسیار مثبتی روی ما گذاشت، این بود که سریع انتخاب کردیم"
