generations and musical tastes.

On the very last day of 23rd Fajr Music Festival, Vahdat Hall of the capital city of Tehran ran out of space to accommodate the huge number of music fans and lovers who wished to attend the closing ceremony of this magnificent national, cultural, and artistic event.

According to the announcement of the Festival, 70,000 people from various groups of age and musical tastes attended performances. This remarkable record of attracted audience proved the claim that this festival had a variety of new offers for its audience.

Another unique aspect of this festival was presence of Pop Music amongst the competing groups. This was the very first time that Pop Music had officially obtained the legal permission to show its competencies in this formal competition.

23rd Fajr Music Festival was held in three different divisions of Competition, International, and peripheral.
Under the competition concept, musicians and ensembles in Traditional, Fusion, Classical, and Pop sub-divisions performed their music and were judged by the juries.

The International division provided the chance for 8 international music groups from Poland, France, Austria, India, Albania, Turkey, America, and Republic of Azerbaijan to perform.
Peripheral division of this festival was further divided into two sub-divisions of musical performances (41 groups), and speeches (8 lecturers).

Attendance of 24 ensembles from different provinces of Iran was an honorable exposition of Iranian national unity.

The glory of the last night of 23rd Fajr Music Festival was doubled by the presence of a number of famous musicians to whom the music of Iran will always be respectful. Hossein Dehlavi, Shahraam Nazeri, Majid Entezami, and Loris Cheknavarian were honored and awarded for their life time efforts in field of music.
