Name: Pejman Akbarzadeh
Nationality: Persian (Iranian)
Location: Tehran, Persia (Iran)
Profession: Music Researcher

Biography:
Pejman Akbarzadeh was born in 1980 in the beautiful ancient centre of Persian culture, Shiraz. He studied the piano and qanun [a traditional Persian musical instrument ] with the prominent musicians Farman Behboud and Maliheh Saeedi in the capital city, Tehran.

At the age of 15 he started to research the artistic activities and works of 20th century Persian (Iranian) musicians residing both inside and outside Persia. When he was 18, the first volume of his research was completed and published and was positively received by the Persian music community. This work has become a reference for accredited publications such as "Encyclopaedia Iranica" and, has been described as "An honor to the Persian musicology community" by the Maryland-based "Iranian Musicology
Quarterly".

Up to now, despite his young age, Pejman has contributed to some of the most reputable Persian publications in Tehran, Washington and New Jersey, e.g. Persian Heritage Quarterly, Shargh Daily, Iran Time, Bukhara bi-monthly, Iran News Daily, Yaas-e No Daily, etc.

Currently he is working on the 3rd and 4th volume of his project "Persian Musicians" and continues his studies in the field of music.
